_Ippo: reel counter and limiter for Android_

# Ippo web guard

The web guard is an optional, paid Ippo feature that counts and blocks reels played in a mobile browser, including YouTube Shorts. It reads only the web address in the address bar.

## What does the web guard do?

It counts reels you play in a mobile browser, including YouTube Shorts, and blocks more after your daily limit.

Closing the app and opening reels in a browser is the easy way around a limit. The web guard closes that way.

Browser reels count toward the same daily limit as reels in the app. There is one counter.

## What does the web guard read?

Only the web address in the browser's address bar.

If you turn on the web guard (a second accessibility service, off by default), Ippo also reads the web address in the browser's address bar to tell that a new reel started. The address is never saved, logged or sent anywhere. It reads nothing else on the page.

| The web guard reads | The web guard never reads |
| --- | --- |
| The web address in the browser's address bar | Anything else on the page |

## Which browsers does the web guard work in?

Seven mobile browsers on Android:

| Browser | Web guard |
| --- | --- |
| Chrome | Supported |
| Brave | Supported |
| Edge | Supported |
| Firefox | Supported |
| Opera | Supported |
| Samsung Internet | Supported |
| DuckDuckGo | Supported |

It does not work on computers. A browser extension for PC, for web blocking, is planned. It is not available today.

## Is the web guard free?

No. The web guard is paid. The price is not set yet.

Counting and blocking in your apps are free, and blocking stays free.

## Is the web guard on by default?

No. It is off by default.

The web guard is a second accessibility service, separate from Ippo's main one. You turn it on yourself, in Android's accessibility settings.

## How do I turn the web guard off?

1. Open your phone's **Settings**.
2. Open **Accessibility**.
3. Find **Ippo web guard**.
4. Turn it off.

Ippo's main service, **Ippo reel counter**, keeps counting reels in apps.
